- Cold heavy cream or heavy whipping cream*
- J.T. Copper Vanilla Bean Syrup*
- A hand mixer or stand mixer with whisk attachment
*For every 2.5 cups of cream used, add 1 oz (2 Tbs) of syrup.
Put cold heavy cream or heavy whipping cream and syrup in bowl. Mix on medium high speed using whisk attachment and don’t walk away! Perfect whipped cream can change very quickly to grainy, chunky butter.
Watch for medium peaks to form. You can stop the mixer to check as you go. When you lift the beaters or whisk out of the bowl, a medium peak will droop at the end, but hold its form.
Note: Vanilla is the classic flavor for whipped cream, but have fun experimenting with other syrup flavors for tasty dessert and drink toppings.
